An iconic female statue related to the imperial cult found during the excavations of the Colonia Tarraco Forum, the centre of the city’s social, religious and political life.
It probably depicts a female personage from the gallery of statues of the Julio-Claudian family that would have decorated the basilica in the Forum of the Colonia. The style of the clothing is reminiscent of that of a statue of Livia from the Claudian era preserved in the Louvre.
