From March 8th to 31st, the National Archaeological Museum of Tarragona (MNAT) offers visitors a new autonomous and interactive itinerary on the occasion of the celebration of International Women's Day. The proposal, under the title " Voices of Women", allows to go through the exhibition TARRACO/MNAT, in Tinglado 4, discovering the stories in feminine that are hidden among its collection and returning the sight to women that very often have been silenced by the history.
The autonomous itinerary "Voices of Women" will be available from Friday, March 8th, International Women's Day. To do so, visitors will only need to scan the QR code that they will find in Tinglado 4 or access the link that is also available on the MNAT website. With a smartphone or tablet, they will be able to discover more about some of the pieces in the collection referring to different models of women in Roman times and search for them in the different areas of the exhibition.
The proposal, which will be available in both Catalan and Spanish, can be made until March 31st and will be included in the price of admission to the exhibition. Those who wish may use tablets that will be available at the reception of Tinglado 4.
Also, in relation to the International Women's Day, the MNAT, will host the guided tour "Històries de romanes" in the TARRACO/MNAT exhibition for people enrolled in the Reading Club Llegim el Patrimoni. It is a joint initiative between the Biblioteca Municipal de Tarragona, the MNAT and ONCE Catalunya, which during the first trimester of this year it will be analysing the myths from a femenine perspective. In this last month of the edition, the participants are reading Lavinia by Ursula K. Le Guin. Moreover, the final debate of this work will take place in Tinglado 4 the 20th of March at 19:00h.
